Welcome
Today on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, lies the small village of Tangier. In 1861 this was a busy place as gold had been found the previous spring. Twice weekly ferries from Halifax brought in prospectors and there were also royal visitors, Prince Napoléon and Princess Clotilde of France and Prince Alfred of England, Queen Victoria’s second son. |
